We are searching for an experienced Associate Biologist at our Westervelt Ecological Services office in Auburn, AL.
The purpose of the associate biologist position is to provide technical support in the fields of biology, habitat restoration, land stewardship, and biological monitoring. The Associate Biologist will be responsible for collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting data in technical documentation in support of Westervelt Ecological Services' projects and will assist in the stewardship of all WES properties within the Southeast Region and prepare management and monitoring reports.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
-Bachelor's degree.
-3-4 years of relevant work experience.
-Alabama Driver's License with clean driving record.
-Working knowledge of invasive species found in the Southeast.
-Ability to work independently in the field, often in remote
locations.
-Technical knowledge of dendrology and basic plant identification skills.
-Basic understanding of operation and maintenance of field biological and land
management equipment (e.g., all-terrain vehicle, chainsaw, tractor, mower,
etc.).

base salary range for this position is $62,400 - $93,600.
Actual base salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the
selected candidate.
