The Quality Supervisor will lead the Quality Control team by example, ensuring all team members go home at the end of the day better than they arrived and improve our ability to convert natural resources into quality finished products while maximizing our profit for our people, company, community and country. He/ She will maintain quality standards throughout our operations, meet customer expectations, comply with SPIB rules, and operate under ALSC guidelines.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Quality Control department safety performance.
- Supervise and maintain standards for all aspects of the quality control program.
- Develop new products, resolve customer complaints, and promote business retention by working with our Sales and Operations team.
- Identify, communicate, and participate in resolution of issues and improvement opportunities.
- Understand and utilize all production optimization systems to maximize lumber values, grade, recovery and return to log.
- Supervise, develop, and support quality control staff.
- Identify and leverage opportunities to improve quality and quality management processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Wood products, Engineering or Industrial field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of good safety practices.
- Previous experience in data collection and analysis.
- Customer-focused for positive customer experience and resolution.
- Strong communication, report writing and grammar skills.
- Knowledgeable of SPIB rules and regulations for SYP with knowledge of grading standards.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in a wood products or similar facility
- Prior Supervisory experience
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations
The base salary range for this position is $72,400 - $108,600. Actual base salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
