Full-Time and Part-Time availability
Provide Food and Beverage service of all assigned spaces ensuring all standards are adhered to in accordance with The Westgate Food & Beverage Standards & Operating Procedures.

- Welcome and greet guests addressing them by name through the reservation system
- Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them;
- Inform guests of specials and menu changes;
- Make genuine recommendations that you feel your guests will enjoy;
- Up-sell food and beverage items using suggestive selling techniques;
- Answer questions regarding regions where food products come from, how food is prepared;
- Describe in detail tastes and textures;
- Answer questions regarding wine list, where wine comes from the vintage and the aromas & flavors of the wines;
- Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services;
- Take food and beverage orders from guests, enter orders in our point-of-sale system which relays orders to the kitchen and bar;
- Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter;
- Monitor and observe guests dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests;
- Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable);
- Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise;
- Be ready and willing to assist support staff with clearing and resetting tables;
- Thank guests addressing them by their name for their visit and invite them to return;
- Polishing glassware and prepare mise en place;
- Maintaining cleanliness in assigned section and service station;
Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years full service restaurant; hotel restaurant preferred;
- Current CA Food Handler's card.
- Outgoing personality and superior verbal skills are a MUST;
- Meticulous attention to detail;
- Positive attitude and willingness to get along with co-workers;
- Must be motivated, hardworking, and passionate
- Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends;
Experience:
- Two or more years’ experience in full service restaurant or hotel restaurant with a luxury property or brand preferred;

Physical Demands:
- Regularly works in both Indoor and outdoor environments.
- Ability to move up to 100 lbs., with wheeled assistance.
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting or lifting overhead 20-50 or more pounds.
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time
