Job Title: Café Attendant/Cashier(Full-Time)
Location: Cincinnati, OH 45202
Pay Rate: $15.76 per hour
Work Location: On-site
Job Purpose
Provide exceptional service to guests in a hospitable and professional manner to ensure a positive guest experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and verify guest checks for accuracy; process payments via cash, credit card, or house charge.
- Ensure guest satisfaction and, if issues arise, resolve concerns professionally and tactfully.
- Follow all accounting procedures, including verifying check totals, handling tip distribution, and managing cash drawer and house bank.
- Balance house bank at the end of shift; retrieve and return cash bank to vault as needed.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Barista experience highly preferred.
- Proficient in basic math skills to operate a register, make change, verify totals, and process other charges.
- Strong conflict resolution skills for handling billing discrepancies.
- Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems and keyboard operations.
- Ability to work for extended periods in confined spaces, either sitting or standing.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adjust communication style to suit various audiences, including guests, coworkers, and supervisors.
