Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through effective maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems within the facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mechanical systems, logic controllers, and electrical components.
- Utilize tools such as an Ohmmeter to conduct tests and diagnose problems accurately.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and components effectively.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure equipment functionality.
- Supervise maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently and safely.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems effectively.
- Familiarity with logic controllers and the ability to work with electrical schematics is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and management.
- Previous supervisory experience in a maintenance setting is desirable but not mandatory.
