T54 Restaurant Server - The Westin Houston Medical Center Hotel

Job Description:

The T54 Server's functions as the connoisseur of Food, Beverages and Good Life. This is a sales position! Ensuring the flawless execution of our Sequence of Service. Part of the sales process this position requires accurate Financial Handling of all payment transactions and maintains strict control of the bills. Disciplined used of Point of Sale (Micros) this colleague must communicate with the providers (Bar/Kitchen) via POS ticket system. The T54 Server is responsible for accounting every transaction even when it is not paid, products/tickets will be paid, comp, discounted or “in house” use among the settlement classifications.

The T54 Server is responsible for the settlement of each transaction. Maintain and logs record the loss through spoilage or waste, secure appropriate signatures to support non-payment transactions. The T54 Server is ready and willing to answer all guests’ requests positively and deal with them. Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and take his/her guidance to achieve high quality service standards as described in our Service Operating Procedures (SOP’s). Mastery and comprehensive knowledge of all the dishes and of the menu, he/she is aware of dietary requirements for the guests and ensures these are communicated to the kitchen and properly delivered to the guest. Ensure a high level of hospitality through prompt. Leading from a service perspective this colleague typifies excellence in service, details and professionalism.

Physical Requirements - (not limited to)

• Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs.

• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.

• Must be able to operate motor vehicle using safety precautions.

• Must be able to recognize, register, and respond visually to color and depth perception.

• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.

• Must be able to work indoor, outdoor, in extreme heat and cold.

• Must be able to work around moderate noise level.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
