POSITION OVERVIEW
The Club Lounge Attendant is responsible for maintain the cleanliness and safety of the Club Lounge. They will prepare all-day snacks and hot and cold food as scheduled, serving to the guests. They will be responsible for serving alcohol in accordance with hotel policies and state law.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor Club Lounge for seating availability, service, safety, and well-being of guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and condition of Lounge, including food and beverage stations, seating areas, walkways, and back of house storage.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests service needs, assist individuals with special needs or disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and any specialty items,
- Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minor, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Wash dishes and serving utensils as needed.
- Complete opening and closing duties according to hotel standards and departmental checklists.
- Secure liquor, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
- Forecast additional meal requirements and communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Management.
- Record and track all food and beverage consumption and submit according to hotel standards and policies.
- Maintain a professional and personable appearance at all times, according to hotel standards.
- Successfully achieve the hotels core competencies including work product, teamwork and culture, guest and customer service, work ethic, and impact-oriented problem solver.
- All other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar position with a full-service hotel or restaurant.
- Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language.
- Must have High School diploma or the equivalent.
- TIPS training certification required within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous experience with MICROS POS preferred.
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail and speed and accuracy with the ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgement.
- Ability to work effectively with co-workers as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds on own and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shift.
- Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
