The Westin Lake Mary is seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience in facilities maintenance, with proficiency in reading schematics and fabricating necessary components. This role is essential in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and overall functionality of the property. Leadership skills are a key asset, as the technician may oversee other maintenance staff and assist with projects.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on various equipment and systems to maintain optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues promptly and effectively.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist with diagnostics and repairs.
- Fabricate parts as needed for repairs or facility improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Supervise and coordinate with other maintenance staff during larger projects or repair tasks.
- Execute residential painting tasks to maintain property aesthetics.
- Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders and manage inventory.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills for various systems.
- Familiarity with electrical systems, including components and repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience with CMMS systems is preferred but not required.
- Leadership skills with prior supervisory experience are a plus.
- Basic skills in residential painting are desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
