OVERVIEW:
As the Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day accounting activities. You will utilize what you have learned through your experience and/or education to support the Finance and Accounting department. Reading sales contracts, setting up group billing patterns, creating invoices, preparing payments, securing financial information, and contributing to overall team efforts will be just a few of your daily duties. You will also be responsible for cash management and general cashier.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Main responsibility will be general accounting duties and functions in areas of need within the Finance Department.
- Assist in handling customer and vendor inquiries in a timely efficient manner, including but not limited to researching and resolving customer issues as well as vendor requests.
- Review invoices for proper approval, code, and input into the system.
- Assist with reconciling vendor statements and solving discrepancies.
- Assist with accounts receivable functions and duties.
- Assist in maintaining complete and accurate files to handle vendor and group billing inquires.
- Reconcile Balance Sheet accounts as assigned.
- Understand and ensure compliance with all Finance SOPs.
- Assist with Audit requests.
- Assist with special projects.
- Prepare and distribute the various reports when needed.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Comply with quality assurance standards.
- Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
- Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Have access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy
- Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Accounting Leadership.
- Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft.
- All other duties as assigned.
