What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Gallery Host position at The Westmoreland Museum of American Art?
The Westmoreland Museum of American Art seeks an enthusiastic and friendly individual to work in the important Gallery Host role with the Visitor Experiences & Special Events Team. Gallery Hosts work to ensure that all visitors feel safe, welcomed, and informed, enhancing the overall experience of their visit. Responsibilities also include safeguarding our priceless collection through observation and inspection of the gallery spaces and upholding to museum policies ensuring an enjoyable environment. This position will also be cross trained in the Museum Shop and Cafe Marchand.
Candidates for this position must be flexible, reliable, observant, and possess strong communication skills. Prior customer service experience is preferred. Individuals must be available to work flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends and some holidays. This position is part-time, less than 20 hours per week.
