Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using the Toast POS system.
- Maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover while ensuring guest comfort.
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions.
- Assist in answering guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, and services.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Monitor dining areas for cleanliness and assist with maintaining a tidy environment.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Toast, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks in a busy setting.
