Main Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine part dimensions and sequences of operations.
- Lift, locate, secure, and verify workpiece positions in fixtures, jigs, vices, tombstones, and tables.
- Adjust feed rates, cutting speeds, depth of cuts, and tooling offsets to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain tooling, monitor wear, and set tooling positions relative to workpieces.
- Verify workpiece alignment and perform quality checks, AQLs, and in-process inspections.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and cross-train with other work centers and cells.
