About the Position:

In this hands-on yet strategic role, you'll oversee the daily operations of our vibrant community pool, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging experience for everyone. As a people-focused leader, you will manage lifeguards, maintenance staff, and other team members to ensure seamless operations. Your ability to inspire, mentor, and develop staff, coupled with your commitment to fostering strong community connections, will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of staff, ensuring exceptional service and a positive member experience.
- Oversee all pool operations, from safety protocols to maintaining the pool’s cleanliness, chemical balance, and temperature.
- Collaborate to enhance the camp program, bringing new ideas and energy to the community.
- Manage membership communications using the Member Splash system, keeping our members informed and engaged.
- Plan and execute memorable member events that foster a sense of community and belonging in collaboration with the Board.
- Address member concerns with a calm, empathetic approach, turning challenges into opportunities for improvement.
- Mentor and guide lifeguards and junior managers, helping them grow their leadership potential.
- Maintain high operational standards while always putting people first—both staff and members.
- Oversee staff scheduling, ensuring optimal coverage and work-life balance for all pool personnel.
- Manage the staffing budget, balancing fiscal responsibility with the goal of creating a rewarding environment for your team.
- Report regularly to The Willows Board, providing insights and updates that showcase your leadership and impact.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong people skills: You thrive in building relationships and creating positive experiences for both staff and members.
- Proven leadership experience in community settings, with a focus on team building, customer service, and community engagement.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification preferred but not required, with the ability to maintain pool safety standards.
- Experience in staff development, training, and mentoring, with a passion for seeing others succeed.
- Excellent communication skills to inspire your team, engage members, and collaborate with the board.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute successful events that bring people together.
- Familiarity with membership management software, ideally Member Splash, to streamline communication and operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a calm, solutions-focused approach when challenges arise.
- A passion for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where every member feels valued.
