Together we are searching for a Controller to join their team on a full-time basis with a hybrid schedule at their Pleasantville, NJ location.
Requirements:
- Carrying out the company’s fiduciary responsibility in its relationship with investors, agencies, and owners of properties under our management.
- Reviews budgets for the managed properties at the beginning of the year and at mid-year along with Executive Staff.
- Responsible for Housing Assistance Payments contract renewals; determines, together with Regional Managers, whether rent increases should be budget or OCAF; responsible for notification letters to HUD and residents.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, CPA, or graduate degree.
- Three to five years of experience time managing staff.
- Familiarity with accounting and property management modules of Real Page or other property management and accounting software.
- Previous experience in affordable housing, and multi-family real estate.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills which will enable clear concise communication with staff and outside parties.
Compensation, Benefits, Perks:
Compensation: $125k-$150k based on experience.
