Position Overview
The Drain Cleaning Technician provides thorough diagnostics of drainage issues and cleans drain lines with drain cleaning equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Take pride in every installation and service that you do. Let the client know what you did for them that other companies don't usually do. Show the client through the quality of your work that your company offers superior service and quality.Wear floor savers while in the client's home. Use drop cloths to protect the client's floors while performing an installation. Always maintain a neat work area where you are working.Wear floor saversRemoves drain cover, using wrench.Installs rotary knives on flexible cable, mounted on reel machine, according to diameter of pipe to be cleaned.Starts machine to feed revolving cable into opening, stopping machine and changing knives as necessary to conform to diameter or contour of pipe.Removes roots, debris, and other refuse from drains.Withdraws cable to deposit accumulated residue, removed from pipe in containers for disposal.Measures distance from drain opening to suspected leak / breakRepairs any breaks in pipingMaintain a professional image at all times by :Following safety policies and procedures.Abiding by ALL Wilson Companies standards of performance and code of ethics.Maintaining a courteous demeanor with all customers and associates.Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and outRespecting the customer's property.Obey company Code of Ethics and the Team RulesRequirements
Minimum Qualifications
Must have a minimum of 2 year of verifiable drain cleaning experience in a residential service and maintenance operation.Knowledge of plumbing field concepts, practices, best practices, procedures, tools, and equipment.Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word and ExcelValid driver's license and a clean driving record.Drug-FreePhysical Demands :
Climbing up and down on ladders and equipmentHeavy lifting required (50-75) pounds, ladder work and tight space work required from time to timeAbility to pick-up a minimum of 25 pounds consistently and carry up to 250 feet unassistedOperate handheld power toolsWear personal protective equipmentAbility to work more than 40 hours per work week and up to 12 hours per dayWorking Environment :
