Position Overview
The Electric Service Technician will primarily respond to service calls, but will also do planned maintenance and / or installation as needed. Our company offers on-the-job training and yearly wage increases as your skills develop. Starting pay is determined upon skills and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serving the clients by expertly servicing customers' entire needs.Wear floor savers while in the client's home and maintain a neat work area when performing a repair or scheduled service.Always explain to the client what service you are performing. Explain and show the client how the company provides superior service.Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems.Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.Maintain your truck so that it is neat and clean on the inside and outside at all times. The truck is one of the best billboards that the company has. Park the truck for the maximum impact of the "billboard" when possible.Obey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.Maintain a clean, organized job siteAlways be safety conscious both on the job and while driving.Participate actively in all training exercises, morning meetings and retreats.Train and mentor apprentices to ensure quick, accurate repairs and installations.Be accurate and timely with invoices, time cards, curbside feedback and option sheetsObey the company Code of Ethics and the Team Rules.Live the Core Values daily as a representative of The Wilson Companies.All other duties as assigned.Compensation is based on individual performance
Requirements
High school diploma / GED required5 years' technical and trade experienceIn-depth knowledge of maintenance and repairs of electrical systemsUnderstanding of the current regulations within State of Ohio CodeMaintain a clear driving recordSelf-starter, reliable, flexibility with hoursStrong customer service skillsTech savvy and proficient in using an I-Pad and Service Titan PreferredMust pass random drug testingDesire to grow within the company and complete additional certificationsExcellent interpersonal communication skills on a technical levelAble to work both independently and as part of a teamGeneral knowledge of power tools and techniques for care and safe use.Physical Demands :
