POSITION DESCRIPTION
Supervisor: Programs Director/Pantry Manager
Reception/Pantry Check-in will be responsible for welcoming and checking in all clients, connecting the community with outside resources, perform receptionist duties, perform various clerical tasks, and provide oversight to the gathering areas. Essential to the role is excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively with others.
JOB DUTIES
- Oversee a safe and welcoming environment for clients by greeting all visitors/clients, responding to client requests for assistance, and ensuring clients have connection to any available services or outside resources.
- Record client information into PantrySoft accurately and completely, while maintaining confidentiality.
- Involve Programs Director for response to any disrespectful or otherwise inappropriate client behavior by clearly communicating expectations and consequences.
- Respond to calls promptly and connect with appropriate person/program
- Assist with shower and bathroom services for clients
- Perform Reception tasks at a high level of customer service, and with client care as priority
- Assist staff with printing, filing, and other clerical tasks as requested
- Accept mail and deliveries, distributing to staff/clients
- Adhere to all The WIndow guidelines, policies and procedures
- Other duties/tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Attentive to detail, demonstrate emotional maturity, and flexibility in working with diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Ability to climb steps and lift occasional bulky items such as donations, etc.
- Ability to complete data entry accurately into various systems and reports.
- Ability to respect and adapt to differences in perspective, backgrounds, beliefs and needsKnowledge, experience, or ability to learn crisis management and de- escalation process while working with individuals in crisis or escalated situations.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience in a customer service position, with preference for social work or human services field
- Education or previous work experience related to administrative office duties
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
