Security Officer/Night Auditor (Overnight Shift)
- Remains knowledgeable of hotel security policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Remains knowledgeable of emergency procedures, check-in, check-out, and key orientation.
- Patrols allocated areas of hotel and property as directed and watch for suspicious, irregular, prohibited, or dangerous activities, situations, or persons, as outlined in hotel policy.
- Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Manages the collection, safeguarding, and redistribution of lost and found items.
- Circulates among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of premises.
- Calls police, fire department, or ambulance in cases of a medical emergency, or any dangerous or threatening condition such as fire, presence of unauthorized persons, or non-compliant violators of hotel policy.
- Takes the initiative to advise guests or staff of emergency situations or the need to abandon facilities. Follows up with persons in danger to ensure their safety.
- Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Maintains logs and/or records of activity during the scheduled shifts.
- Aids guests and others when necessary.
- Follows company policies and procedures.
