Janitor/Maintenance

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and attention to detail, with experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and functionality in various environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing all areas of the facility.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out residential painting and touch-up work as needed to keep facilities looking their best.
• Assist with industrial cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by restocking supplies and performing deep cleaning as required.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and a clean environment for all staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing is a plus.
• Familiarity with residential painting and general maintenance tasks is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be physically able to perform the duties required, including lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Pay: $18.06 - $18.73 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
