POSITION TITLE: Accounts Payable Clerk
DEPARTMENT: Accounting/Business Office
Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Clerk processes and monitors payments and expenditures of the company, providing these services in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring that finances are current, accurate, and up to date. This position is responsible for ensuring that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits and restraints. This is essential for ensuring effective, efficient, and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Key Accountabilities:
· Processes the day-to- day processing of accounts payable transactions in the most up to date and accurate manner.
· Receives and verifies invoices and requisitions for goods and services, with emphasis on quick turnaround processing.
· Verifies that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
· Responsible for the proper coding and reconciliation of commission vendor payments to our outside representatives.
· Manages and maintains internal expenditure expense reports.
· Prepares batches of invoices for data entry; enters the batches of invoices for payment.
· Manages the weekly check runs, and reporting requirements.
· Records and files all checks; prepares all checks for mailing.
· Prepares manual checks when needed or required.
· Maintains Account Payable Aging reports and makes recommendations accordingly to management.
· Maintains updated vendor files and changes.
· Prints and distributes monthly financial reports to management as required, or as needed.
· Provides properly maintained filing system.
· Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of two years of experience in accounting or finance.
· Must be highly detail oriented and organized, able to efficiently meet deadlines and goals.
· Excellent communication skills are a must, with customer service focus.
· Must possess needed oral comprehension and listening skills to communicate with vendors and employees effectively.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
