Remote Medical Billing Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our remote team, supporting a dynamic neurosurgery practice. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit insurance claims for both in-network and out-of-network providers.
• Ensure coding accuracy (ICD-10, CPT) and adherence to established billing guidelines.
• Process payment postings and manage denied or rejected claims in accordance with timely filing regulations.
• Generate patient invoices and actively follow up on outstanding balances.
• Collaborate with insurance companies to verify coverage and benefits, as well as coordinate pre-authorizations with the clinical team.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations, remaining current with changes to billing codes and payer policies.
