Post-Doctoral Fellow – Lab Zhou

A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Xiaoyu Zhou who will join The Wistar Institute in Spring 2025. The Zhou lab investigates intercellular immune communications through a combination of synthetic receptor engineering and endogenous gene perturbations, with the goal of developing innovative immunotherapies against cancer and infectious diseases. Example research projects include engineering immune receptors to reprogram T cell function in solid tumors; and developing novel gene editing tools to enable high-content genetic perturbations for the discovery of therapeutic targets. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in immune engineering, gene editing , and immunotherapy. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cancer immunology, and experience working with tumor models, flow cytometry, molecular and cellular techniques. Additional experience with CRISPR gene editing, computational analysis would be highly desirable.
