What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Maintenance Review Specialist position at The Woodlands Township?
Summary of Duties: Conducts field investigations and program support of the Park Operations maintenance contracts within The Woodlands Township. Provides field and office support for the Parks and Recreation Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform regular site inspections of contractor work areas within the Township. Monitor work completed by contractors.
- Maintains an inventory of all properties and its condition regarding the contract standard.
- Handles resident comments, questions and concerns about the maintenance standards for Parks and other specified areas.
- Develops program materials to support the communitys effort to provide additional maintenance beyond the base level provided by the Township.
- Conducts field investigations, takes photographs, prepare forms and reports.
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of complaints and actions taken; writes reports, updates department database.
- Maintain vehicle mileage log.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times; project and maintain a positive image on behalf of the Township.
- Communicate with residents, committee members, the public and contractors.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as maintenance contract, horticulture standards and technical documents.
- Employee may be required to work special events on nights, weekends or holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of: Educational, presentation, and customer service techniques for a wide variety of audiences. Have knowledge and understanding of a broad range of environmental concerns and issues. Knowledge of conservation practices, native plants, local wildlife and ecology.
Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of related experience; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications: Must possess or obtain a Texas drivers license within the first ninety (90) days of employment and meet the driver safety policy requirements.
Computer Skills: Computer proficiency in MS Office required.
