Synopsis of Role
At The Word Church, the Groups Director’s primary mission is to foster an environment where people can grow in faith, find freedom, and build authentic relationships within an intentional community. This role involves recruiting and developing group leaders, implementing scalable coaching structures, and providing pastoral care administration. As a visible leader at your campus, you’ll play a key role in cultivating discipleship and connection opportunities through Groups.
Principal Responsibilities
Serve as a visible leader on the campus, executing the vision of The Word Church and the Groups Ministry.
Promote connection and spiritual growth by leading efforts to engage people in Groups across the campus.
Oversee all Group leaders, tracking metrics and ensuring group health and alignment with the church's vision.
Regularly integrate Groups into broader church initiatives and experiences to enhance engagement.
Develop and manage infrastructure, including standard operating procedures, volunteer expectations, and financial planning for the Groups Ministry.
Key Performance Measurements
Growth in the number of active groups and group members. (10% of weekly attendance represented in the number of groups, 90% of dream team in groups, 65% of Sunday attendance active groups).
Increased engagement and retention rates of group participants.
Effective training and satisfaction of group leaders, measured through feedback and participation in leader development initiatives.
Creation and execution of group events, measured by attendance and participant feedback.
Positive impact on congregational engagement, as evidenced by involvement in groups, church services, and related activities. Demonstration of pastoral presence through meaningful interactions and accessibility during services and events.
