Position Summary:
At The Word Church, we believe storytelling through video is a powerful way to inspire, engage, and connect people with the Gospel. We are looking for a skilled Videographer who is passionate about capturing and editing high-quality video content to bring creative ideas to life. This role will focus on filming, editing, and producing video content that enhances worship experiences, promotes church events, and supports digital and social media engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Production: Film and edit high-quality video content for sermons, promotional materials, event recaps, and social media platforms.
- Camera Operation: Set up and operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment for both live and recorded video shoots.
- Post-Production Editing: Edit video footage, apply color correction, add motion graphics (as needed), and ensure smooth and engaging storytelling.
- Content Creation: Assist in developing creative video concepts that align with the mission and vision of The Word Church.
- Live Event Coverage: Capture key moments during church services, conferences, and special events.
- Video Archiving: Organize and manage video files for easy access and future use.
- Collaboration: Work with the creative team to produce visually compelling video content for various platforms.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Ensure high-quality production by identifying and resolving any technical issues with video, audio, or lighting equipment.
Must-Haves:
- Active involvement in a church and alignment with The Word Church’s mission.
- Strong portfolio showcasing video production, cinematography, and editing skills.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of lighting, camera operation, and audio for video production.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent storytelling skills with a keen eye for detail and composition.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to troubleshoot technical challenges on set.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience working in a church or nonprofit setting.
- Background in live streaming and multi-camera production.
- Familiarity with After Effects and motion graphics.
