Summary:
Workforce Group (WFG) is seeking experienced Architects to support rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Helene and Milton. This role involves reviewing, designing, and assessing building plans to ensure compliance with Florida building codes, FEMA regulations, and other applicable standards. The ideal candidate will hold an active architecture license in Florida and have experience in structural design, disaster recovery, or community redevelopment projects.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and approve architectural plans for rebuilding efforts, ensuring compliance with Florida Building Code, FEMA guidelines, and zoning regulations.
- Assess structural integrity and sustainability of proposed designs for disaster-affected structures.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and local permitting authorities to streamline the approval process and expedite rebuilding.
- Provide technical guidance to ensure adherence to best practices in construction, safety, and accessibility standards.
- Conduct field assessments of damaged structures and recommend rehabilitation or rebuilding strategies.
- Assist permitting staff, design professionals, and contractors with code compliance and regulatory questions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of project plans, compliance reviews, and recommended modifications.
- Provide expert consultation on resilient and sustainable design solutions to mitigate future disaster risks.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Licensed Architect in Florida (NCARB certification preferred). Minimum of two (2) years of experience in architectural design, building assessments, or construction oversight.
- Strong knowledge of the Florida Building Code, FEMA guidelines, and accessibility standards.
- Experience in disaster recovery, emergency response, or resilient infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Ability to analyze complex architectural and structural documents for compliance and feasibility.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools preferred.
