Summary : The Permitting Intake Coordinator will manage the intake of permits, handle inquiries, and assist with inputting permit applications into Tampa-area permitting systems to support Hurricane Helene and Milton's rapid rebuilding efforts. This role ensures that contractors and homeowners submit complete applications, helping to streamline approvals for post-disaster recovery.
This is a contract position expected to last 2-3 months or until the need is met. Travel may be required for the duration of the contract.
Location : Tampa, Florida, and surrounding areas
Cuties & Responsibilities :
- Process permit applications, answer inquiries, and assist with data entry into local permitting systems.
- Receive and review permit applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Assist contractors and homeowners in navigating the permitting process.
- Coordinate with plan examiners, building inspectors, and local officials to expedite approvals.
- Maintain organized records of permit applications and issued permits.
- Provide status updates to applicants and key stakeholders.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications : Minimum of 2 years of experience in permitting, residential / commercial construction, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
