Generally, attendance will be required in the office Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 AM to 4 : 30 PM.
The Accounting Associate will play a key role in supporting the finance and HR departments of Park Avenue Club. This hybrid position involves managing payroll, administering HR-related tasks, and overseeing accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to a team-oriented environment while ensuring smooth financial and HR operations for the club.

QUALIFICATIONS :
Intricate knowledge of Federal and State Regulations concerning the Department of Labor is mandatory. To be successful in the position, the candidate must possess strong written and oral communication skills. In addition, he or she must have excellent computer skills (specific knowledge of Paycom and ADP, Jonas, Microsoft Word, and Excel), adequate typing skills, and strong organizational habits. The candidate must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, ensure accuracy and confidentiality, and adhere to deadlines.
- Education : An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience : Previous experience in payroll administration, HR functions, or accounts payable, ideally in a hospitality or private club setting.
- Payroll Systems : Familiarity with payroll software like ADP, and Paycom.
- Accounting Software Proficiency : Experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, or specialized private club management (e.g., Jonas Club Software).
- Excel Skills : Strong knowledge of Excel for financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll processing.
- Attention to Detail : Given the multifaceted nature of private club finances, accuracy and attention to detail are critical in ensuring the correctness of payroll, HR, and accounts payable functions.
- Member Engagement : An Accounting Associate in a private club should understand the importance of maintaining positive member relations and ensure that financial matters are handled efficiently, providing excellent service to members.
