JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for providing education and support for new and established clinical staff. This role involves delivering training programs to ensure clinicians are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to provide quality care to patients with wounds. It also involves supporting clinicians during their first 90 days of employment. The Specialist collaborates closely with Internal Clinical Development Supervisors to identify learning needs, create tailored educational content, and foster a continuous learning environment. This position plays a key role in supporting the professional growth of clinical staff and ensuring alignment with organizational care standards and protocols.
WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS
- Deliver training programs aimed at enhancing clinical knowledge and skills for both new and established clinical staff.
- Assist with the development of content for clinical onboarding and education programs as appropriate.
- Conduct regular check-ins with new clinical staff during their first 90 days of employment and report concerns to the Supervisor of Clinical Onboarding.
- Work closely with the Supervisor of Clinical Onboarding and the Supervisor of Continuing Education to identify training gaps, tailor educational content, and align training initiatives with organizational goals and care standards.
- Participate in educational programs and new initiatives as appropriate.
- Promptly communicates any concerns raised during check-ins to the Super of Clinical Onboarding.
- Create and promote a culture of continuous learning for clinical staff.
WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED
- Active RN, NP, or PA licensure
- 1 years in clinically focused education/curriculum design and development (remote experience preferred)
- Clinical practice: 1 years of post-training clinical experience
- Clinical experience in wound management preferred
- Wound Care Certification (WCC) Required (or obtained within 1 year of accepting the role)
ATTRIBUTES NEEDED FOR THE ROLE

- Experience with creating clinical education content that is relevant to the organization and industry standards
- Foster a positive learning environment to promote the growth and development of clinical staff
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
