JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Quality and Performance Improvement is responsible for overseeing the company’s quality improvement program and initiatives. The Director will establish and continuously monitor clearly defined key performance indicators that are action-oriented and directly correlate to success in achieving organizational goals. This leader will collaborate with other key stakeholders and leaders to develop and implement strategies to improve performance among all indicators and instill a culture of continuous improvement across the organization. Leads the development and maintenance of clinical protocols, policies, and procedures that ensure consistent delivery of high-quality care.
WHAT ARE YOUR ASSIGNMENTS
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust quality management system.
- Regular internal audits and performance improvement activities should be conducted to identify areas of improvement in the delivery of care and patient outcomes.
- Analyze data and trends to identify root causes of quality issues and collaborate with key leaders to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and patient outcomes.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of any necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality care delivery.
- Facilitates root cause analysis processes to identify areas of improvement when incidences occur.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, including clinical and sales teams, to achieve quality and experience goals.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory changes and ensure timely implementation of any necessary changes to policies and procedures.
- Leads the organization in adopting the collection and reporting of data to quality payment programs associated with Medicare.
- Leads and mentors a team of professionals.
- Complete additional duties to support organizational goals.
ATTRIBUTES NEEDED FOR THE ROLE
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related healthcare field is required; a Master's degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Nursing (MSN), or a related field is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a quality, compliance, or risk management role within a healthcare setting, preferably in home health or hospice.
- CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) is required.
- Clinical experience in wound management is preferred.
- Leadership skills: 3 years of experience managing teams and remote and distributed groups are preferred.
WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACHIEVED
- Strong understanding of clinical best practices, regulatory requirements, and quality improvement methodologies.
- Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
