Position Summary
The Wright Center for Community Health and its affiliated entity The Wright Center for Graduate Medical Education, a leading FQHC Look-Alike in the Northeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking a dynamic and tenacious In-House Counsel & Contract Administrator to oversee and enhance our contract management process and legal affairs in our mission driven, multi-organizational enterprise! This critical role will have ownership of the creation, execution, and analysis of contracts to maximize operational performance while reducing risk. This role will also spearhead the integration of automated contracting systems, drive process improvements, and maintain compliance across our contract life-cycle.
The ideal candidate for the In-House Counsel & Contract Administrator position is a detail-oriented, legally-savvy professional with expertise in contract law, risk management, and compliance, preferably within healthcare or nonprofit sectors, with the essence of an entrepreneurial spirit. They will excel in drafting and negotiating contracts, managing liability claims, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills are essential, along with a proactive approach to process improvement and the ability to navigate complex legal and operational challenges.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Lead contract management, including creation, renewal, and tracking of contracts
- Collaborate with department leaders to resolve legal and risk issues
- Maintain automated contract systems and ensure timely renewal of contracts
- Facilitate internal training on contract management systems (Compliatric)
- Provide legal support for compliance and investigations filings
Requirements
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) with 5 years experience
- Proven expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and management
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven work environment
- Ability to learn quickly, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, experience with Compliatric is a plus
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
