This position works closely with the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) at Delaware State University (DSU) to implement an evidence-based model designed to empower professionals through the credentialing process through relationship-based coaching and cohort facilitation.

What You’ll Do

This position works closely with the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) at Delaware State University (DSU) to implement an evidence-based model designed to empower professionals through the credentialing process through relationship-based coaching and cohort facilitation.
Program Development
- Develop and lead new and expanded initiatives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Devise strategies to ensure growth of programs and initiatives.
- Ensure the implementation of high-quality curricula and activities following evidence-based models for CDA completion.
- Assist with the recruitment of potential CDA participants by providing essential program details and information on the CDA process.
- Maintain an active understanding of agency programs to increase opportunities for support and collaboration.
- Practice continuous learning through individual study, classroom training, seminars, and conferences.
- Provide support to CDA cohorts by coordinating operations, schedules, and activities; including but not limited to creating calendars, meeting plans, and preparing all relevant documentation; coordinating and scheduling meetings (virtual, phone, and in-person); and securing materials and equipment as needed.
- Facilitate cohort meetings, working with adult professionals in a group setting.
- Provide one-on-one and small group coaching and guidance using a strengths-based perspective. Assist participants with goal setting and the creation and implementation of individual action plans. Adapt services and make recommendations based on participant needs or preferences.
- Maintain contact with participants and provide regular guidance to reduce barriers to participation and CDA completion.
- Assist the ECIC CDA coordinator with various activities such as responding to inquiries regarding the CDA, providing instruction and support assisting students in all areas of the enrollment/registration process, and advising students into the correct phase of CDA process (or connect them with the appropriate success coach/program coordinator).
- Network with businesses, schools, and government offices to identify resources and develop partnerships to strengthen service delivery, to develop programs, and address community needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate environment, including the organization of space, storage of supplies and materials, and sanitation of equipment.
- Coordinate data management, outcomes tracking, and program reporting for grants and programs, including collection and organization of supporting documentation (i.e., participant files, internal reports). Assist with the maintenance of filing systems for participants and the agency, ensuring participant files are up-to-date and organized per grant or licensing requirements.
- Uphold agency policies and standards, ensuring state, federal, and local regulations are followed (e.g., licensing, Delaware STARS, accidents, incidents, and disciplinary actions) and compliance with contractual requirements.
- Assist with program evaluation and assessment processes (satisfaction surveys and environmental scans) to include program delivery, customer service, and effectiveness and progress toward program objectives.
- Analyze information and maintain complete, organized, and accurate documentation (including email communication). Prepare and submit timely reports and other documentation.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree preferred. Associate degree from an accredited college or university which has equipped applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position required.
First Aid/CPR preferred; must be certified within first 60 days of hire.
Conditions of Hire
- A satisfactory criminal background and reference check, a valid driver’s license, and an acceptable driving record are required at time of appointment and throughout employment in this position.

- Schedule: This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:30 pm.; however, this position may require day hours and weekend work.

- Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use technology, and move about to facilitate workshops or meetings.
