REACH serves as the community quarterback for comprehensive community revitalization in the Riverside neighborhood, located in northeast Wilmington, DE. REACH supports and leverages efforts and resources which promote upward economic mobility for Riverside residents. Employing the Purpose-Built Communities’ model, the revitalization focuses on three pillars: 1) redevelopment including high-quality, mixed-income housing, 2) a cradle to college and career readiness pipeline, and 3) community health, wellness, and safety initiatives. REACH, in collaboration with service partners Kingswood Community Center and The Warehouse (an innovative teen center with more than 150 partner organizations) work together to transform Riverside into a robust, healthy, and vibrant community. The Warehouse, REACH Riverside and Kingswood Community Center are collectively known as the "WRK Group".
Position Summary
This position is responsible for collecting and interpreting data to help the organization take actionable steps to improve performance and meet goals This includes gathering information and statistics, building charts and graphs to present results to leadership and finding ways to improve organizational efficiencies using gathered data.
Essential Functions
Data Collection and Preparation
- Collect, interpret, and analyze data using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Data Analysis and Interpretation
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Filter and “clean” data by reviewing reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems.
- Use statistical techniques to generate insights and answer business questions.
Reporting and Visualization
- Create clear, concise, and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Use tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Excel to communicate findings effectively.
Collaboration with Stakeholders
- Work with business teams to understand their data needs and objectives.
- Translate business requirements into analytical tasks and deliver actionable insights.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics.
- Provide recommendations for process improvements and strategic decisions based on data insights.
Data Governance and Compliance
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations governing state/federal contracts and other funders.
Predictive Modeling and Forecasting
- Create presentations and reports using graphs, infographics, and other methods to visualize data.
- Develop predictive models and forecasts to support future planning.
- Use machine learning algorithms for advanced analytics, if required.
Ad Hoc Analysis
- Identify and define new opportunities for data improvement.
- Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
- Work directly with leadership, managers, and partners to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.

Skills and Abilities
The incumbent must be able to:
- Proficiently utilize Microsoft Office suite, database management and graphics applications (i.e., Adobe, Photoshop, Publisher, and CRM software.)
- Demonstrate strong analytical skill with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Be adept at queries, report writing with the ability to present findings in a compelling and easy to understand manner.

Education and Experience
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
- At least 3 years working as a Data Analyst with demonstrated experience with data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques.
- Proficiency in statistics and experience using statistical software for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position with varying hours of work: Monday through Friday, 8:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require after-hours and weekend work.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Physical Tasks and Working Conditions:
- Office and classroom work requires sitting for extended periods of time.
- Using a computer, keyboard, and screen, as well as teaching tools (whiteboard, projector, etc.)
- Must be able to move about to facilitate workshops, access files, operate equipment and office machinery.
- Must be able to withstand different environmental conditions, including outdoor conditions, extreme heat and/or cold, and loud noise level.
- Must have the ability to focus while working under environmental conditions.
