Wurzak Hotel Group as part of the Dalmar & Element Hotel in downtown Fort Lauderdale is looking for an energetic and professional Barback to join their vibrant team at Sparrow Rooftop.
The Barback sets up, manages and breaks down bars in safe and efficient manner in compliance with Company policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Oversees deliveries, preps garnishes, preps juices, stocks bar, maintains bars during service, cleans bars in accordance with policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate is friendly, optimistic, detail-oriented, has an outgoing personality, enjoys working with people and working on a team; has a proven passion and ability to anticipate and exceed our guests' needs; has knowledge of food and beverage operations; can comprehend and deliver service standards; excels at guest and team member relations and etiquette; and comprehends to importance of complying with applicable federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees bar set up /manage/break down in compliance with policies, procedures and brand standards.
- Oversees bar cleanliness by following policies and procedures, proper food handling and serving techniques, alcohol awareness, and federal, state and local regulations.
- Immediately notify management of incidents involving possible excessive alcohol consumption or an impaired condition.
- Supports lead bartenders by stocking, cleaning, maintaining bars throughout service.
- Maintain clean bar including proper removal of trash, empty glasses, clean drains, etc.
- Thoroughly clean bar and properly return equipment and supplies to proper areas at end of shift.
- Ensure all liquor is properly secured before, during and after shift. Maintains walk-in coolers.
- Perform assigned side-work.
- On time and at work when scheduled, and in proper uniform.
- Attend department meetings as scheduled.
- Inform management of customer feedback.
- Knowledge in restaurant and bar operation
- High School diploma or GED required
- Three years prior bartending experience required
- High-volume hospitality experience required
- Excellent oral communication skills required
- Positive interpersonal skills required
- State applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card
- Ability and flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
