At the Y in Central Maryland, we're seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to join our team. Our mission-driven organization is committed to individual and community well-being for all.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach swim lessons in compliance with YMCA of the USA guidelines and levels.
- Ensure safety of all swimmers during lessons and enforce pool rules.
- Conduct classes according to the YMCA Aquatic Program, adapting as needed for local conditions.
- Evaluate student abilities and maintain efficient lesson progression.
- Attend all scheduled classes, securing substitutes when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Current CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification required.
- Lifeguard certification preferred.
- Successful completion of the Y's swim test.
- Flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
