">We are seeking an Aquatics Educator to join our team, responsible for teaching swim lessons and ensuring the safety of participants during program sessions.
">Responsibilities
">Your key responsibilities will include:
">- ">
- Teaching swim lessons in compliance with YMCA guidelines and levels ">
- Ensuring the safety of swimmers during lessons and enforcing pool rules ">
- Reporting to work on time, dressed in uniform, and receiving instructions from supervisors ">
- Attending all scheduled classes within a session and securing substitutes when necessary ">
- Promoting participation in the Y Swimming Lessons program ">
- Assisting with administrative tasks and preparing program areas ">
- Engaging with participants, orienting them to the program, and assisting when needed ">
- Focusing on quality experiences and engagement within programs ">
- Maintaining a professional image and ensuring a clean and safe environment ">
- Communicating the Y's mission and objectives to the community ">
- A strong teaching background, preferably in aquatics ">
- Current CPR/AED/O2/First Aid certification (or O2 within 30 days of hire) ">
- Preferred Lifeguard certification ">
- Successful completion and passing of the Y's swim test ">
- A flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekends ">
