Lawn Maintenance Crew Members

Landscape Crew Members

Hardscape Crew Members

The crew is responsible for performing various related maintenance activities of primarily commercial properties using hand or power tools and equipment.

TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Make a positive impact on a customer’s landscapes to help attract and retain customers as well as provide a safe outdoor environment for customers and employees
• Operate fun power equipment such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, chainsaws, clippers, sod cutters, and pruning saws
• Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers
• Blow debris from driveways, walkways and parking lots
• Care for established lawns by weeding, grubbing and removing thatch, and trimming and edging around flower beds, walks, and walls to make landscapes look extra polished
• Use tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge and brush trimmers, and axes
• Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chainsaws
• Maintain, clean and repair tools and equipment
• Mix and spray herbicides.
• Trim and remove dead plant material and remove weeds from beds
• Install sod, mulch, pine straw, river rock, and other bedding material
• Install trees, shrubs, plants and flowers
• Install Hardscapes, paver patios, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, walk ways and retaining walls.
• Use different types of Heavy equipment to include skid steers, excavators, dump trucks, ditch witch, and tractors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Crew Members must be able to

• Meet physical demands of the job, including working in extreme weather conditions such as extreme heat, and cold
• Be dependable, and consistently at work and on time, and commits to required hours on the job
• Can understand and operate the following equipment: zero turn mowers, weed eater, stick edger, blower, push mower and hand tools
• Able and willing to learn all aspects of Lawn Maintenance and Landscape installation.
