Job Overview
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient cleaning, drying, and folding of linens, towels, and guest clothing, in accordance with the hotel's standards of cleanliness and quality. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the hotel's overall guest experience by providing clean and properly maintained linens, ensuring smooth operations in the laundry department.

Job Overview
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient cleaning, drying, and folding of linens, towels, and guest clothing, in accordance with the hotel's standards of cleanliness and quality. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the hotel's overall guest experience by providing clean and properly maintained linens, ensuring smooth operations in the laundry department.
Essential Job Functions
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and store linens, towels, and guest laundry following the hotel's guidelines and quality standards
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Ensure all linens, towels, and uniforms are clean, sanitized, and in good condition
- Handle guest laundry items with care, ensuring that all items are cleaned according to the type of fabric
- Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and inform supervisors of any stock shortages
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness of the laundry area, ensuring it is organized and hygienic at all times
- Report any damaged or stained linens, towels, or guest clothing to the supervisor for further action
- Ensure that laundry items are promptly returned to housekeeping for distribution to guest rooms
- Maintain a log of laundry items sent to dry cleaning or other specialized services
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of detergents and other chemicals, and follow fire safety and other hotel procedures
- Assist with other housekeeping duties as needed to ensure efficient department operations
- Maintain a positive, cooperative relationship with fellow team members and other departments
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in a housekeeping or hospitality environment preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable with using housekeeping tools and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
