- Assist the Food Service Manager in planning, preparation, serving, and clean-up of daily meals for campers and staff
- In the absence of the Food Service Manager, supervise the kitchen staff and kitchen operations
- Directly oversees the inventory of supplies and food and reports any needed items to the Food Service Manager for re-order
- Assist the Food Service Manager in working and preparing the kitchen staff schedule.
- Ensure that all food service preparation, storage, and serving areas are in an orderly and sanitary condition, while adhering to all local state and federal laws/regulations
- Identify, minimize, and eliminate, where possible, any risks that could cause accidents
- Interpret safety and health standards to food service staff
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
