General Function:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications and in harmony with the mission and purpose of the established policies and goals of the YMCA, the Digital Experience Director is responsible for the management of multi-channel digital marketing including, but not limited to, online, mobile, social, search, display, interactive, platform integration and digital content development. This key role is responsible for managing all YMCAVP digital properties through the following four phases: Customer requirements and roadmap development; UX design and delivery; Content, performance, and optimization; and E-commerce and conversion.
Qualifications:
1. The digital experience director will bring greater prominence to the Y brand and mission while optimizing the usage of marketing technology by all Y staff, improving automation, increasing audience engagement, enhancing personalization, driving enrollment in membership and programs, and providing quality service to the community.
2. Association Membership sales and revenue goals are achieved.
3. A high degree of member satisfaction is achieved, as measured by NPS and other KPIs.
4. A positive image of the YMCA is portrayed to members, staff, volunteers, and the community.
5. Relationships are strengthened through positive interactions.
6. Directors and staff are equipped with the tools needed to provide a great member experience that will increase conversions.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication technology, new media, or relevant field of study preferred.
- Experience in digital marketing, web design, and analytics.
- Skilled in identifying, implementing, and working with the latest marketing technologies and enterprise applications. Proven ability to be an innovative, creative, proactive, and self-directed team player who works in a fast-paced environment and meets deadlines.
- Knowledge in the effective use of major social media platforms, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office; Drupal experience preferred.
- Excellent project and time management skills, written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to compose basic content and write and edit stories.
- General awareness or experience in marketing planning and workflows.
- Experience with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff.
- Certification in CPR/ First Aid/AED/02 required within 60 days of hire.
- Complete and maintain required training to include New Employee Orientation (NEO), Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention (CAP), and Sexual Harassment.
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and Child Protective Services check.
- Support the mission, vision, and goals of the YMCA.
- Promote character development and the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
- Promote and participate in YMCA fundraising efforts, including Annual Impact, Capital, and United Way Campaigns.
- Follow mandated child abuse reporting requirements.
- Manage all digital properties (web, social, mobile) to coordinate with center-specific campaigns and initiatives.
- Manage the evolution of member and participant digital journey map to increase online sales.
- Execute a cohesive strategy and comprehensive calendar for digital marketing, marketing technology, content creation, and web management.
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.
- Work with centers to strategically plan, create, and implement targeted digital campaigns/events/initiatives to broaden the Y's local appeal.
- Serve as the point person for all center content on the website to be correctly updated and maintained in a timely fashion. Establish the website as a “go-to” resource for all members and staff with real-time content (events, promotions, blogs, etc.).
- Identify, manage, create, and publish high-quality digital content, including video, website, and social media.
- Serve as liaison with program lines (Child Care, Wellness, Sports, Membership, Development, Aquatics, etc.) at centers for all marketing and communications opportunities to prepare for promotion via web, onsite digital, and social media.
- Foster a collaborative team environment between marketing and Y center teams.
- Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic
- Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel and promotional campaigns.
- Stay up to date on the newest trends, tools, and insights within digital marketing.
- Set, manage, report, evaluate and achieve analytics benchmarks and goals.
- Manage external partners/vendors to ensure alignment with project expectations.
- Report on digital metrics such as Google Analytics, AdWords, etc.
- Assist in translating internal and external consumer data into actionable insights.
- Contribute to and maintain a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communication.
