What You’ll Do:
As a Construction Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful completion of infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing detailed drawings for water and sewer main projects using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Gathering and compiling field and office data for both proposed and completed projects using GPS collection equipment.
- Assisting in preparing construction cost estimates and managing material requisition and delivery.
- Preparing and submitting road occupancy and other permit applications for main installation projects.
- Ensuring active construction projects comply with specifications, plans, permits, and procedures.
- Overseeing the efficient filling, flushing, pressure testing, and water quality sampling for new water mains and other company locations.
- Supporting compliance with local, state, and federal water quality requirements.
- Preparing record drawings and documentation for completed projects.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Experience with CAD software and GPS collection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to following regulatory standards.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and independently, demonstrating professionalism in all interactions with customers, employees, and contractors.
