Job Description:
The Zone Grand Rapids is currently looking to add to our team of part-time (Game Day) retail sales associates to work the 2024-2025 hockey and volleyball season selling Grand Rapids Griffins Hockey and Grand Rapids Rise Volleyball Merchandise. Candidates must be friendly, enthusiastic and professional in order to excel in a fast paced retail environment.
Job Duties:
- Accurate and timely processing of all sales transactions on register or point-of-sale terminal including sales, exchanges and returns
- Greet customers offer assistance.
- Assist customers in finding merchandise and offering information about desired merchandise.
- Setting up and stocking merchandise on the sales floor and concourse kiosk, refreshing inventory on shelves, assisting with displays and promotions.
- Professionally represent and promote products to all customers, fans and guests
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment for both staff and customers.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have reliable transportation to and from downtown Grand Rapids.
- Available to work a flexible retail schedule including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
- Available to work between 5-20 hours each week, depending on weekly game schedule (can be found at www.griffinshockey.com and https://provolleyball.com/teams/grand-rapids-rise/)
- Able to lift 25-50 lbs
- 1-2 years retail or similar experience preferred, but not required
