Compensation : We offer our employees a competitive compensation and benefits package that reflects our organizational culture, mission, and core values. The salary range for this position is $95,160.00 to $100,638.00 and may be commensurate with experience.
Position Description : The Director of Annual Giving is a strategic leadership role responsible for sustaining and enhancing financial resources essential for the achievement of SOME's strategic business goals. This pivotal position oversees the planning and execution of a comprehensive annual giving strategy and fundraising program, managing multi-million-dollar direct mail and digital giving initiatives, alongside other individual donor fundraising opportunities.
Qualifications :
Required : Bachelor's degree or 8 years of fundraising experience in place of a degree; Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related fields, with a proven track record of success in individual giving and donor relations.
Preferred : Graduate degree, CFRE, CAP, or relevant professional certificate or training highly regarded.
Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 am - 4 : 00 pm (40 hours per week); Hybrid Schedule (3 days in office / week)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and cultivate relationships with donors, volunteers, and internal / external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies that drive revenue growth and support organizational priorities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to foster an inclusive and welcoming philanthropic community.
- Knowledge of fundraising best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in the nonprofit sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and collaborate with peer team members toward achieving ambitious fundraising goals.
- A high level of accountability, self-motivation, and ability to work collaboratively and with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in fundraising CRM systems, donor databases, digital fundraising platforms, and MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.

Reports to : Executive Vice President, Chief Development Officer
Position Designation : This position is designated as Safety Sensitive. You may be subject to drug testing before or during your employment with SOME. In this position, you may be disqualified from employment based on the presence of marijuana in test results, even if you possess a medical card authorizing the use of medical marijuana.
Physical Demands : Must be able to lift to 20 pounds. Requires looking at a computer screen for several hours a day. May be required to sit for long periods. Must be able to travel to events and meetings offsite.
