Self Direction Community Habilitation & Respite
The Self-Hired staff member is responsible for providing individuals with developmental disabilities with training and supervision to the extent required by their Life Plan. This training and supervision will take place in whatever setting is deemed appropriate under the plan's guidelines, which have been developed with the individual.
While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.
You are subject to all appropriate testing for employment by The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), and the New York State Justice Center.
