What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Visual Implementation Engineer position at Theater Outsource?
The Implementation Engineer serves as the main technical liaison for clients, ensuring that systems and solutions are implemented and programmed in alignment with the project’s objectives. This role primarily focuses on delivering integrated solutions for Audio/Visual/Lighting installations. It offers the opportunity to work on diverse and dynamic projects at locations globally, handling both large-scale and smaller installations.
We are looking for candidates who have experience with one or more of the following hardware, software, or skills:
- Advanced Control Systems Programming and Operation (e.g., Node-RED, Q-SYS, Medialon, Alcorn McBride)
- Proficient scripting abilities (e.g., Lua, JavaScript, Node.JS, SQL)
- Networking Management, Configuration, and Operation (including VLANs, routing, QoS, IGMP, PTP—certification is a plus)
- Q-SYS Audio & Control (certification preferred)
- Video and Presentation Systems Programming and Operation (e.g., Pixera, RealMotion, 7th Sense, Disguise, Touch Designer)
- Video processing and layering systems (e.g., Aquilon, Barco E2, Christie Spider)
- Large matrix systems (e.g., Ross Ultrix, Grass Valley Sirius, Evertz EQX)
- Large LED canvases and projection systems
- IP video signal distribution protocols (e.g., ST 2110, IPMX, SDVoE, NDI)
- A/V systems, equipment, concepts, and technologies
- User Interface development (with some HTML and CSS knowledge)
