EH&S Manager

Job Title- EH&S Manager

Location- Lakewood, NJ

Job Type- Full Time

We are seeking an EH&S Manager who will focus on further development and improvement of the safety program and driving a safety-oriented culture plantwide. As the EH&S Manager, you will excel in coaching and mentoring your direct reports and will oversee the site EH&S program. You will report to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, improve, and regulate the safety, health, and environmental policies and processes for the plant
• Keep updated documentation related to safety policies and regulations
• Monitor and track all safety training within the company LMS
• Perform regular site inspections and audits for safety, health, and environmental compliance
• Complete job hazard analysis
• Lead accident investigations
• Support and initiate improvements related to safety and environmental
• Communicate with and serve as the point of contact for external regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
• Lead BWC documentation and activities
• Champion the site emergency response team
• Show a presence on the manufacturing floor to drive the company's safety initiatives focused on Behavioral Based Safety Programs
• Decrease the site's recordable and lost time accidents
• Assign and monitor safety training and ensure timely completion
• Other duties as directed by management
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, ideally in an EHS-related field
• At least five years of similar EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Recent supervision of others
• Strong safety background, with experience overseeing environmental functions as well
• Experience developing and/or improving site safety programs
• Experience leading safety programs at sites of at least 100 people
• Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
