Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. This role involves overseeing quality strategies, driving process improvements, and ensuring the highest levels of product quality and reliability. The QA Manager will analyze performance metrics, report on quality initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the site’s quality functional strategy and improvement plans.
  • Champion lean initiatives to enhance quality across design and operational processes.
  • Serve as the ISO 9001 Management Representative, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) methodologies.
  • Oversee supplier quality management and development initiatives.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and present data on quality concerns, production capabilities, and business trends.
  • Establish and manage quality assurance programs to maintain high product reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define company policies, operating procedures, and quality system performance goals.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in collaboration with global QA teams.
  • Direct and support inspection and testing activities to ensure material and product quality.
  • Lead problem-solving efforts using methodologies such as QRQC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, and Six Sigma.
  • Supervise and mentor Quality Assurance team members, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Work with engineering teams to enhance quality in product design and manufacturing processes through FMEA, robust design principles, and process control planning.
  • Coordinate internal audits and ensure timely closure of Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Support and lead customer audits, ensuring compliance with contractual quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to measure customer satisfaction and enhance product quality.
  • Organize and promote training activities related to quality systems, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or Associate’s degree with equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years of management experience in quality assurance, quality management, or production processing/assembly.
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
  • Proven track record in developing quality strategies and improvement plans.
  • Strong experience with APQP, PPAP, and supplier quality management.
  • Practical experience with problem-solving methodologies (QRQC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis and quality assurance tools.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Experience managing and supervising teams in a quality assurance setting.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
