Pursuing Excellence in Patient Care
Key Accountabilities:
* Demonstrates working knowledge of equipment and safety practices
* Provides practical instruction for patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
* Assists with other clinic or site functions and duties as applicable to the individual's abilities to perform
* Completes documentation on time and accurately in accordance with department policy/procedure
* Practices safety at all times, adhering to ALARA principles for proper radiation safety for self and patients
Qualifications and Skills
* High School diploma or GED preferred
* Must be 18 years of age
* Graduate of an accredited radiography program
* ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
* Wisconsin license
Work Environment and Physical Demands
* Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
* Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
* Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents
