PROGRAM MANAGER
Work is assigned and supervised by the Executive Director and Programs Manager of The Women of Valor and THEESEEDS Institute. Given the nature of non-profit and for-profit work and workforce development, the candidate must have a passion for public sector service and community engagement. An ideal candidate will want to gain experience in community and economic development, and urban studies. Assignments are expected to be carried out under limited supervision within the office, therefore only candidates with sound judgment, time management skills, and internal motivation should apply. We are ideally looking for someone with some type of a business background as well.
Qualifications / Education:
The best candidate will be chosen from a pool of candidates who can demonstrate that they seek to gain hands-on experience in grassroots community development within a local, state-wide organization. Business degree or any bachelor's degree preferred.
Requirements:
- Experience with Workforce Development
- Minimum 25 hours a week spent in the office.
- Proven experience as a Program Manager or other managerial position
- Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
- Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (Basecamp, MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
- Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability

- Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
