About the role:
Full-time role, hybrid work environment with 3 days a week (Tues-Thurs) in the Flatiron district office.
Salary is $120,000-$150,000 commensurate with experience.

- You partner with Creative Directors and Producers to inform creative strategies that will lead to great work.
- You’re comfortable running the show as a team leader in the strategic, conceptual, and developmental phases of digital, print, video, and multi-media creative on projects—as assigned by the Creative Directorâ¨.
- You are fluent and prolific in social media, for organic and paid, concept and execution. Bonus if you are also a content creator or have worked with UCG.
- You’re the first person the CD turns to in a brainstorm or to lead copy for critical projects and new business pitches.
- You take responsibility for every piece of creative that your team touches, no matter how minor, to ensure that it exceeds expectations.
- You can juggle multiple projects at once while maintaining the highest creative standards.
- You’re current with, and ahead of, current cultural, creative, and industry trends.
- You’re an energetic, organized, passionate presenter who can “read a room.”
- You’re effective and comfortable serving as a liaison between the client and creative team, communicating the vision of the creative work, presenting creative strategies and concepts, and structuring selling arguments while understanding the client's business, brand, products, customers, and competitors.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the level of knowledge, skill, and ability we’re looking for.
Experience:
- 8 years in advertising copywriting (or equivalent quality of creative work)
- 2 years in a senior creative role with creative management experience
- Strong strategic and conceptual skills
- Excellent personal creative portfolio
- Work spanning branding and cross-channel ad campaigns, with depth in digital
- Excellent teamwork, mentoring, presentation, and client services skills
Supervisory Responsibilities: You’ll be doing all of the people-wrangling things—interviewing, coaching, training, planning, assigning, delegating, encouraging, problem-solving, high-fiving, and managing up—within in the context of thelab’s people-first culture, policies, procedures, and of course, applicable laws.
